Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Part of the Terms of Service and every agreement in this set. Last updated: 27 October 2026.

3.1 Step one: tell us

  • Send your complaint to help@wplaunchify.com or through My Account. Tell us who you are, what you bought, what went wrong, and what you’d like us to do.
  • We’ll acknowledge it within 2 business days and work with you, and with the publisher if one was involved, to fix it.
  • Where a refund is due under section 2.3 or the law, it’s paid less the Stripe fee.
  • Both sides agree to try in good faith for 30 days to resolve the complaint before starting arbitration.

3.2 Step two: binding individual arbitration

  • If the complaint isn’t resolved within 30 days, either side may start binding arbitration. It’s administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, or its Commercial Arbitration Rules for business disputes, before a single arbitrator.
  • The arbitration takes place in Lake County, Illinois. You may choose to take part by video or phone, or in writing for smaller claims.
  • Illinois law and the Federal Arbitration Act apply.
  • For consumer claims, 1WD pays the filing and arbitrator fees above what you would pay to file in court, unless the arbitrator finds your claim frivolous.

3.3 What isn’t covered

  • Either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court in Lake County, Illinois, or in your home county, if it qualifies.
  • Either side may ask a court to stop misuse of intellectual property or confidential information.

3.4 No class actions

Claims are brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective or representative action. The arbitrator may not combine claims of different people. If this paragraph is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to the state or federal courts in Lake County, Illinois, and the rest of this section still applies.

3.5 Opting out

You can opt out of arbitration by emailing help@wplaunchify.com within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with your name, account email and a statement that you opt out. Disputes then go to the state or federal courts in Lake County, Illinois.

3.6 Time limit

To the extent the law allows, a claim must be started within one year after it arises.
